Shaw, Frank Kitchener – of Cornwallis Park, Annapolis Co., born October 24th,1941 in Peterborough, Ontario, gave up his courageous battle for life on July 29th, 2024 at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, Nova Scotia. He leaves behind his loving partner of 63 years, Marie (Theriault) Shaw and his seven children, Francine, Warren, Angela, Tyler, Marina, John and Ralph, and his 12 grandchildren Chris, Kelly, Will, Aiden, Liam, Greg, Jess, Adam, Ambrose, Luc, Nate and Devlin, as well as his many in-laws and other relatives and friends. As a young man, he did embrace the values and friendships of and was honoured to serve with The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada in Gagetown, NB. After his honourable discharge he remained steadfast with his 55 year membership in the Royal Canadian Legion. Frank and Marie raised their family in Southern Ontario, where Frank was a proud Budd Automotive worker for 30 years, after which they retired to Cornwallis, Nova Scotia. Frank will be remembered as a kind, easy-going person who loved people and made friends easily. As he battled a variety of health issues in his final years, he was blessed with visits from many family members, who stayed in contact with him until the very end. Frank was laid to rest in Burlington Green Burial Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free: 1-855-825-3448.
