Obituary

DAVIS, Freda LaVera-78 of Kingston, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Greenwood Square, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Myrtle (Morse) Keddy. She was a devoted mother and friend who loved people and was especially devoted to her family and grandchildren. Freda owned and operated her own antique shop House of Yesteryear for many years. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Bob) Reid, Brooklin, ON; Joanne Davis, Hinton, AB; Karon Davis (Roy Springett), Windsor, NS; Sheila Davis (Jason Allan), Edson, AB; Kathy Davis, Kingston, NS; Kimberly Davis (Kenny Hallberg), Comox, BC; Nicole (Garry) Richards, Kingston, NS; sons, Michael Davis (Darci Muir), Port Coquitlam, BC; Brian Davis, Edmonton, AB; sister, Francis Coleman, Dartmouth, NS; brothers, Kenneth (Fran) Keddy, Greenwood; Bill Keddy (Ruth Barlow), PEI; grandchildren, Sean (Teri) Reid; Brandy Reid; Joel Walker; Jacinda Walker (Daniel Thompson); Lyle Crosby; Melissa Lemieux; Jordan Davis; Jesse Davis; Tasha Davis; Tamara Davis; Tara Davis; Tiffanie Ward; Haley Zinck; Robyn Spicer; great grandchildren, Rylee; Rhianna; Khalil; Kaige; Gavyn; Jaiden and Raiya. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alphonse; brother, Lamert; granddaughter, Rochelle in infancy and grandson Shane in infancy. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00PM, Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, March 23, 2011 in the Kingston Baptist Church, Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Kingston. Reception to follow at the Kingston Legion. Donations in memory of Freda may be made to Lung Association of Nova Scotia or Kingston Legion (Branch 98).
