ALEXIE, Frederick Milton "Fred" ~ Age 88, of Berwick, Kings Co., N.S., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on September 3, 1937, in Halifax, he was a son of the late Jessie (Maugher) Alexie. Fred started working in the pharmaceutical field at age of 11, delivering medicine on his bicycle. He later went on to become a certified dispenser, which was his life-long career, later becoming pharmacy manager. Fred enjoyed collecting many treasures and entering every contest possible. Fred enjoyed working in his yard and tinkering around his garage. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, the former Joan A. Brewer; son, Frederick "Fred", Berwick; daughters, Wendy Alexie (George Brown), Dartmouth; Kim (Danny) Morton , Black Rock; grandchildren, Angie, Nathan, Ryan and Rachael; great grandchildren, Dustin, Riley, Jessica, Jennifer, Sophie and Chase; great great grandson, Dante; sister, Joan (the late Archibald) Hall, Beaverbank; several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or service. A private time of remembrance for family will be held at a later date. Interment will take place in Berwick Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Kings Co. S.P.C.A.
