ROSS, Frederick James "Fred" ~ Age 64, of Melvern Square, Annapolis Co., passed away suddenly on Friday, December 20, 2019, at home. Born on September 4, 1955, in Middleton, he was a son of the late Morris "Todd" and Geraldine M. (Lake) Ross. Fred began his working career at McMasters Mill in Kingston, and was then employed at Spurr Brothers Farms for many years, and later at various other places. He enjoyed woodworking, time spent in his garden, working on his many solar lights and was well known for puttering and working on many projects. Fred loved to go camping, fishing, feeding the birds, time spent with the cat and trips to the Bay of Fundy shore.  He worked on cars, watching T.V., helping others and listening to country music. Surviving are his wife of 33 years, the former Wendy L. Veinot; daughter, Tamara Ross (Nicholas Ouellette), East Tremont; sisters, Eleanor (Ardie) Saltzman, Melvern Square; Ann Marie (Ken) Bottomly, Timmins, Ont.; brothers, Richard (Anna Mae) Ross, North Kingston; Robert (Sharon) Ross, Morden Road; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Debra Ross; brothers, Paul, John, Ronald and Arnold Ross. There will be no visitation. Memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 27, in Melvern Square United Baptist Church, 377 Stronach Mountain Rd., Melvern Square. Rev. Sarah Scott officiating, with a reception to follow. Interment will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton, at a later date.
