GATES, Gail Elaine ~ 76, of Kingston, Kings Co., passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023, in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown.  Born in Middleton, she was the daughter of the late Bernie and Madeline (Lewis) Lutz. Gail loved photography, quilting, and was an avid hunter.  She also played guitar and sang in various groups.  Gail is survived by her sons, Allen Shearer (Kim Adsett); Michael (Miranda) Gates, both of Kingston; brothers, James (Susan) Lutz, Parkers Cove; Darrell (Sharon) Lutz, Tremont; grandchildren, Cody Adsett, Christina Shearer, Catherine Shearer, Meghan Gates, and Mason Gates, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Max and brother, David. In keeping with Gail's wishes, cremation has taken place.  Visitation will be held 6-8 pm on Friday, April 14 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448, where there will be a memorial service at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 15, with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Interment will follow in the Morristown Cemetery, Morristown. Donations in memory may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or Diabetes Canada.
