DOREY, Geneva Pearl ~ Age 85, Welsford, Kings Co., passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019, in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Middle Cornwall, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late Laurie and Clover (Hallamore) Veinotte. Geneva had been employed at Grand View Manor, as a Personal Care Worker and prior to that working at Mabel Spicer's Rest Home. She was a member of Berwick Baptist Church. Geneva was also a member of St. Eudora Rebekah Lodge No. 43, Berwick, serving as Noble Grand and had been a Past District Deputy President for District No. 3. Surviving are daughter, Pearl (Gary) Galley, Welsford; son, Christopher (Corrinne "Corey") Dorey, Carrot Creek, Alta.; grandchildren, Jack (Tara), Mark (Sarah), Samantha (David), Mitchell and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Bethany, Jace and Easton; brother, Lawrence Veinotte, Middle Cornwall; sisters, Frances Frank, Naughton, Ontario; Melba Fancy, Middle Cornwall; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Stanley I. Dorey; son, Jerry Dorey; brothers, Brenton, Douglas, George, Leeland, Margeson and Clarence; sisters, Leola and Hattie; four siblings in infancy. There will be no visitation. A Rebekah lodge tribute followed by her memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 7, in Berwick Baptist Church, 265 Commercial St., Berwick. Rev. Kayla Colford officiating, with a reception to follow in the church annex. Spring interment will take place in the Berwick Cemetery.
