SLAUENWHITE, Genevieve Ileen 91 of Kingston, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown, NS. Born in Harmony, NS, she was a daughter of the late Archibald and Gladys (Banks) Winott. In her early years Genevieve was a hairdresser; worked at Sara Bliss Fashions in Wolfville and prior to retirement, was employed at K.C. Marshall's Ladies Wear, Kingston. She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church. Genevieve loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by daughters, Kimberlee (Craig) Caldwell, Harmony and Pat McCall, Kingston; sons, Michael (Linda) Newton, Calgary; Shawn Newton and Scott Newton, both of Regina; sister, Mary Lavigne, Kingston; brother, Blake Winott, Kingston, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ron Newton, second husband, Seldon Slauenwhite and brothers, Archie, Alden and Paul. Visitation will be held 3:00PM to 5:00PM, Sunday, October 11, 2015 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448 where the funeral service will be held 2:00PM Monday, October 12, 2015 with Rev. Garth MacKay and Rev. Janet Baker officiating. Interment will be in the North Kingston Cemetery.
