PEARSE, Geoffrey Frederick - We the family of Geoffrey (Geoff) Pearse are deeply saddened to have to announce his sudden passing at home early Saturday morning, April 26, 2014. Born in Berwick on June 10, 1948, he was a son of the late Geoffrey H and Eleanor F (Silver) Pearse. Surviving is his companion of 31 years, Angela Burns, his favorite feline, Jet and all his other four legged critters; stepson, Charlie (Chuck) Lynch (Hong Yan LIU); step-grandchildren, Sarah, Andrew, Jolene, Keith, Linda; step-great grandchildren, Jackson and Mia, brother, Gerald (Judy); sister, Jean Botting and many nieces and nephews; mother and father-in-law, Wilfred and Goldie Burns; his "adopted" son and long-time employee, Gerry Sheridan, as well as many special and loyal friends too numerous to mention. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, Florence, Harold and Joyce; his second mother, Ivy Connell, his ex-wife, Linda Murphy, brother-in-law, George Botting and stepbrother, Allen Connell. Starting at an early age, Geoff worked for Lewis Merry on his farm as well as at his second Mom's. He worked out of Ontario for many years as a trucker for various companies until his heart sent him back to Nova Scotia. He then started working in the woods at his own self-employed business for 30 years. He enjoyed his life to the fullest and his critters at the barn. He loved his cat Jet, his meat and potatoes and his many, many friends. Geoff wished not to have a service, so to bring closure for his friends, there will be a Celebration of Life at the Nictaux Fire Hall, Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. Donations in Geoff's memory may be made to Companion Animal Protection Society - CAPS; North Mountain Animal Sanctuary or a Charity of Choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448. Online guest book may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
