George Thompson
Chesnutt
January 13, 1945 – June 28, 2024
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of George Thompson Chesnutt 79, of Harbourville at Valley Regional Hospital on June 28, 2024.
Born in Cameron Settlement, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Isabel (Cameron) Chesnutt. Predeceased by first wife and mother of his children, Marilyn; sister, Cathy; brother, James and special nephew, Taylor.
Mourning his loss while celebrating his life is his daughter, Janice; son, Robert,; precious granddaughter, Anjani who was his pride and joy, and friend, Kathy Thorpe.
George is survived by brothers, Mike (Ess), Kelly (Beth), Bob (Janie), John (Mary) and Tony; sisters, Nancy, Jean, Ruth, Joanie and Tris; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Robert and Deborah Greenslade who went above and beyond and loved him like a brother.
George was employed with Michelin for 30 years and upon retirement took a position with AVRSB as a school bus driver. A job he truly loved for 13 years until his health failed him.
He was well liked by all who knew him and would do anything to help his family and friends. He loved his Harley motorcycle, travelling, camping, reading History books, music festivals and would follow Matt Minglewood Band whenever he could. He was an avid cribbage player and would play anytime, anyplace. He was especially proud of teaching his 10 year old granddaughter Anjani to play crib and took great delight when she was able to beat him.
Cremation has taken place. There are no services as per George's request. The online guest book may be signed by visiting www.middletonfuneralhome.com
Donations may be made in George's memory to Bladder Cancer Canada
