Obituary

GILMORE, George William - 61ys of North Williamston, Nova Scotia passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 25th, 2014. Born in Valleyfield, Quebec on November 11, 1952. He was the youngest son of the late George and Dorothy (Ryan) Gilmore. He is survived by his spouse Sandra Spurr of North Williamston and her mother Audrey Somers, who he called "Nan", his son Wesley (Pam) and two granddaughters, Lauryn and Katelyn of Courtice, Ontario, Sister Donna (Kenneth) Job of Lake Echo, Nova Scotia and Brother Grant Gilmore of Lake Echo, Nova Scotia. George is also survived by several nieces and nephews. George worked mainly in the siding business for the majority of his life since a very young age and then as a finish carpenter, he loved working with wood. He was very happy in his work shop tinkering away and always coming up with different ideas on how to change patterns on projects to make them uniquely his. He will be sadly missed by all of us and especially his BEST BUD as he called him Wayne Waito of London, Ontario who he chatted with almost daily. Cremation has taken place. At his request there will be no service and a private family burial will be held at a later date. I would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses from VON Annapolis County who have helped George in so many ways over the last year. A special thank you to Dr. John Drysdale, his family physician and the Middleton Collaborative Practice. Donations in his memory can be made to VON Annapolis Chapter or a charity of your choice. Rest in peace Hun Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. On-line guest book may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
