HEBB, George Garfield age 86 of Spa Springs passed away June 16, 2016 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton after a brave battle with relentless cancer. He was a son of the late Deblois and Betty (Israel) Hebb. George is survived by sister, Mildred, Halifax; son, Bill (Helen), Ontario, daughter, Darlene (David), Lawrencetown; grandchildren Kyle, Kailee, Matthew, Jonathan, Andrew, Trina, great grandsons, Isaiah, Jack on the way and close friends Brenda, her son Chris and daughters, Laurie and Patricia. George worked for many years as a Stationary Engineer at the CFB Greenwood heating plant, after retiring from there he took up dairy farming and trucking. Showing his ponies at local exhibitions was the highlight of his life. Special thanks to those over the years who have offered their help at both his home and barn and the exhibitions with food and the preparations that it took to get ready for the ring. Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00PM Sunday, June 19, 2016 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448 where the funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Monday, June 20, 2016. A reception will follow the service. All are welcome. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. Delicate ears pricked and listening, smooth black coats shinning and glistening.
