KEWLEY, George Ernest – age 88 of Wilmot, NS passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Hantsport, NS he was the son of the late James and Esther (Johnson) Kewley. George retired from the Canadian Army after 16 years of service. He devoted many years of his life caring for the mentally challenged. George will be sadly missed by his wife Ella (Vaughan); daughter Cheryl (Philip) Blair of Brickton; sons Terry (Cathy) Kewley of Cherry Valley, ON and George "Vance" (Betty) Kewley of Belleville, ON; sister Valarie (George) Weiland of Maryland, US; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. In keeping with George's wishes, cremation has taken place. A visitation and reception will be held from 2 – 4 p.m., Friday, October 6th, 2017 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902- 825-3448.
