PARKER, George Rupert – aged 91 of South Williamston, NS died peacefully Thursday, January 21, 2016 in the Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Centre, Middleton.  Born in Wilmot, he was a son of the late Rupert and Fayetta (Warner) Parker. George was a heavy equipment operator for many years. He enjoyed being in the woods, loved horses and his tractor a Cockshutt Classic 20. George enjoyed music, card games and spending time with his friends and family. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family. Myrna and George recently celebrated their 65 years of marriage. George is survived by his daughter, Garnetta (the late Michael) Naugler, South Williamston; sons, Philip Parker (Darlene Nejrup) Middleton and Graham (Monique) Parker, South Williamston; grandchildren, Chris, Joshua, Melissa, Mitchell and great grandchildren, Jarid and Evan. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife the former Myrna Haight; sisters, Carrie and Doris; brothers, Arlis and Charlie and son-in-law, Michael Naugler. Visitation will be held 7:00PM to 9:00PM, Monday, January 25, 2016 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448 where the funeral service will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, January 26, 2016 with Rev.
