Obituary

ALDRED, Georgie Idella - 82 of Wilmot, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in North Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Annie (McNeil) Berry. Georgie was an avid knitter, quilt maker and enjoyed playing Bingo. She especially enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and her many friends. When the children were young camping was a family event. She enjoyed Square Dancing in the North Kingston Hall, also bowling and curling in Middleton and some snowmobile trips. When Sunnyvale Camp Ground was established she worked in the Canteen and enjoyed their camping facilities. As the family was growing up she sold Studio Girl products and later was an Assistant Manager at Eaton's Canada in the Greenwood Mall. When Eaton's closed she moved on to work at Frenchy's and then she actually retired from the work force giving her more time to tend her much her loved flower gardens and grab a game of Crib when someone came to visit. Georgie is survived by daughters, Janice Keddy, North Kingston; Susan Lutz, Kentville; Christine (Lonnie) Sawler, Wilmot; Geraldine Aldred, Toronto; sons, Jeffrey (Sue); Wimot; Michael, Moncton; Rick (Gail), Melvern Square; 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Sampson, Kingston and brother, Claude (Pauline) Berry, Wilmot. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Gerald; son Laurie; grandson, Jamie and sister, Helen Morse. Cremation has taken place.
