DEMPSEY, Gerald LeRoy – age 76, of Morden, Kings Co., passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at home, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Victoria Harbour, Kings Co., on February 15, 1941, he was a son of the late Gerald A. and Marjorie E. (Kenneally) Dempsey. Gerald was a hard worker all of his life, known as a jack of all trades and spent most of his working life as a self-employed carpenter. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, the former Barbara A. Andrews; daughter, Sherri Dempsey (Michael); sons, Gregory Dempsey and Bradley (Jenna) Dempsey; grandchildren, Riley and Carson; sisters, Doris Salsman, Marilyn (Al) Gray, Doreen Dempsey (the late Ron); brothers, Reginald (Gena) Dempsey and Keith (Connie) Dempsey; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, John Colville; special sister-in-law, Joyce (Brian) Fitch; special friend and uncle, Eldon (Judith) Kenneally. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Laverna Colville. All are welcome to attend a time of Celebration of Gerald's life from 2-4 p.m., Wednesday, May 3, in Morden Community Centre, 2321 Morden Rd., Morden.
