Jansen, Gerald "Jerry" George – Age 90 of Greenwood, Kings Co., passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Veteran's Unit, Middleton. Born in Watson, Saskatchewan, February 8, 1934, he was a son of the late George and Loretta (Doepker) Jansen. Jerry retired after 28 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 98, Kingston. Jerry loved curling, playing cards and crib. He loved animals and enjoyed feeding and watching all the wildlife in his own backyard. Jerry is Survived by his loving wife of almost 66 years, Dora E. (Canning); daughters, Valerie Jansen, Leduc, AB, Verna (Leonard) DeCoste, Wilmot, Karen (Jeff) Mailman, Melvern Square, Judy (Dave Wright) Henwood, Nictaux; sons, Timothy (Margaret) Jansen, Middleton, Brian Jansen, Moncton, NB; grandchildren, Kyle (Reanne) DeCoste, Kingston, Victor Henwood, Nictaux; step grandchildren, Drew Hudson, Fredericton, NB, Jaxon Mansfield, Middleton, Lesley McClure, Middleton; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Jerry was predeceased by sister, Celine; brothers, John "Jack", Ian, Kenneth & Terry. Cremation has taken place. There are no services at this time, as per Jerry's wishes.
