Merlin, Gerald Ross ~ Age 71 passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022 in East Dalhousie the way he wanted to go, peacefully after visiting (partying) with his lifelong friends in the valley who always stuck by his side through thick and thin. Born in Berwick, he was a son of Alfred "Ross" and Margaret (Wilson) Merlin. Known as "Pony" by some good folks or Uncle Gerry by most. Gerry lived with no regrets, a life most of us haven't lived. His mother passed when he was 2 and his father did his best with 5 children to care for. He was a survivor, happiest with a beer in one hand a smoke in the other and friends all around. Gerry made many friends with his quick wit and humor. He leaves behind his cherished nieces, Golda Merlin-Walsh and Maria Dicaire. Special thanks to his favorite great nephew Rory Merlin Walsh and Morgan Baker and great great nephew Levi Merlin Walsh for providing a loving home in his final years.
