MacDonald, Geraldine – 62, of Meadowvale, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Sydney Mines, she was a daughter of the late Jude Carey and Jessie Mae MacMullin.
Geraldine was a hairdresser and worked at Servicom Call Centre in Sydney. Later, she became a cook at Miner’s Daughter Restaurant. After moving closer to her children in Nova Scotia, she worked at the Big Scoop Restaurant. She was the life of a party and could always be counted on to play the air guitar and have a good time. Geraldine enjoyed Bingo and a good game of darts.
Surviving are her daughters, Ashley MacDonald, Meadowvale; Brittany (Kevin) MacKinnon, Alberta; son, Chris (Candace) MacDonald, Greenwood; grandchildren, Braydon, Finley, Charleigh, Presley, and Liliana MacDonald; Brayden, Isaac, and Lincoln MacKinnon; step-sons, Jeffrey (Suzie) Ingonish; Liam (Laura), Bras d’Or; Steven (Kelly), Beaverbank; and their children; many aunts, uncles, and cousins with special mention of aunt Lorraine (the late Vince) Taylor, Sydney Mines; the Carey family from Bras d’Or; and the MacMullin family from Sydney Mines; as well as many extended family. In addition to her family, she leaves behind her lifelong friends, Lorraine Gouthro, Sheila MacNeil, and Sherlyn Daphney; adding in more recently, Kim Sawler and Tammy Rowbottom. Thank you for all your love and support for Geraldine.
Along with her parents, Jude and Jessie Mae, she was predeceased by her step-son, Ryan and her grandparents, Evelyn (Gardner) and Daniel MacMullin.
