BRUCE, Geraldine Reta Mary Lynn ~ age 75, of Brickton, Annapolis Co., passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on August 14, 1948, in Annapolis Royal, she was a daughter of the late Gordon Long and Muriel (Buckler) Hannam. Geraldine was a well-known cook for many years, first at Roney Surf and Turf and later at Lawrencetown Restaurant. She had been a volunteer for the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Lung Association and the QE II Health Centre Foundation. Geraldine loved time spent playing bingo at various places. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Ashley L. Bruce; son, Jody Bruce, both of Brickton; daughter, Tracy Bruce, Yarmouth; grandchildren, Alex and Elizabeth; brothers, Sheldon (Beverly) Hannam of Annapolis Royal; Linas Hannam, of Moschelle; DeBlois (Edith) Hannam, of Ontario; sisters, Blanch (Ron) Dean, Brantford, Ont.; Kathleen (the late Ivan) Clayton, Parkers Cove; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, brothers, Phillip and Stewart; sister, Shirley in infancy. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service.
