ROBAR, Gertrude Helena - 95, originally of Torbrook, Annapolis County, NS passed away peacefully on Monday, December 17, 2012 in the Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Centre, Middleton. Born in Margaretsville, May 10, 1917, she was a daughter of the late William Albert and Jessie Mable (Goucher) Little. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, the Littles of Margaretsville. Gertie worked in the community cleaning houses. She liked playing her guitar and keyboard and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and baking. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Leander Robar; and two grandsons, Jeffrey and Michael Durling. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Wayne) Durling, of Torbrook; sons Murray Robar of Torbrook and Neil (Patricia) Robar of Wilmot; grandchildren, Darrell (Bonnie) Durling of Greenwood; Ashley Robar of Daytona Beach, FL; Nadine (Nathan) Barkhouse of Stratford, PEI; Matthew Robar and Tanya Robar both of Middleton along with five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00PM, Wednesday, December 19, 2012 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448 where the funeral service will be held 2:00PM Thursday, December 20, 2012 with Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. Interment will be in the Nictaux Cemetery, Nictaux.
