Obituary

TAYLOR, Gladys Frances - 80 of Lawrencetown, Annapolis County, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in Middleton, she was a daughter of the late Irving and Ruth (Hodges) Gaul. Gladys was employed for many years doing Rural Mail Delivery for Canada Post. She was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan and loved listening to Conway Twitty. Gladys enjoyed watching wrestling and going for drives over to the shore. She devoted her life to raising her family whom she loved dearly especially all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gladys is survived by her daughters, Catherine (Clarence) Hannam; Bev (David) Baker, both of Lawrencetown; Miki (Eric) Lemieux, Kingston; sons, Ricky (Phyllis) Taylor and Stacey (Helen) Taylor, both of Lawrencetown; sisters, Mary (John) Logan, Maitland Bridge; Sheila (Bill) Tobin, Cape Breton; brother, William "Bill" (Zillah) Gaul, Nictaux; half-brother, Ron (Marion) Gaul, London, ON; grandchildren, Kirk; Ricky Jr.; Carrie; Matthew; Cassie; Celia; Randy; Dawson; Taylor Jane; Chloe; Sophie; Julia and Keigan; great grandchildren, Jadra; Alex; Nate; Ethan, Tyra, Emily, Lydia, Aeon, Alyssa, Lucas, Elliott "Ellie", Arihanna and Kyla and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Kenneth; son Wayne; sister Beverly; brother Darrell in infancy; half-sisters, Nellie and Amelia; half-brothers Reginald Sr., Leslie and Lloyd. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902)825-3448, Rev. Danny Smith officiating.
