WHITE, Gladys Mae ~ age 78 of Kingston, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018, at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton, surrounded by her family. Born in Lawrencetown, she was a daughter of Marjorie (Bennett) and the late Allister Whitman. Gladys was a member of the Lawrencetown Baptist Church, Red Hatter Society, Royal Canadian Legion #112, and the Rebekah Lodge #46. Her hobbies include crafts, travelling, music, jam sessions and card parties. Family was very important to Gladys and she loved family gatherings. She was a mom to many people in the various places where the family lived. Besides her mother, she will be sadly missed by daughters, Sandra (Joey) Nickerson, Clark's Harbour; Sherry (Christopher) Boutilier, Dartmouth; Crystal White, Kingston; Cynthia (Blair) Potter, Kingston; son, Steven (Cyndy) White, Belleville, Ont.; sister, Joan (Clyde) Osmond, Lawrencetown; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Besides her father, Gladys was predeceased by her husband, David and her sister, Shirley Dorey. She will be sadly missed by her loyal companion keena. There will be no visitation.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 12, in Lawrencetown United Baptist Church with Rev. Patty Beals officiating. Interment will be in Whitman Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Whitman Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448.
