Glenna "Linda"
Anne Dorey
December 24, 1948 – August 12, 2022
Dorey (nee Lutz), Glenna "Linda" Anne
~ 73, passed away peacefully Friday, August 12th, 2022, in Valley Hospice, Kentville, NS, surrounded with lots of love.
Linda was born on December 24, 1948, in Berwick, Kings Co., N.S. She is survived by her brother, James Lutz, South Porcupine, ON; her three children, Tanya (Don) Musseau, Amherst, NS.; Kristal (Bob) Murray, Didsbury, AB; and Glenna (Josh) Kenneally, Elmsdale, NS. Linda is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, Jeffrey (Olivia) Musseau and Daniel Musseau, Ormocto, NB; Summer Murray, Nash Murray, Maverick Murray, Jett Murray, Noelle Murray, Winnie Murray and Archie Murray, Didsbury, AB; Gavin Kenneally and Meredith Kenneally, Elmsdale, NS.
Linda is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy Lutz (2016) and Reginald Lutz (1979); husband, Wade Dorey (1996); son, Harlan Dorey (2011; and brother, Bartley Lutz (2005).
Linda worked at Mony Life Insurance Company as executive secretary for 10 years. She was thorough, detail oriented and some would say a perfectionist with everything she did. She decided to leave Mony Life to stay home and focus on raising her family, despite multiple offers and requests for her to remain working, of which she turned down.
Later, when Linda returned to work at Larsen Packers Ltd., Berwick, for 20 years, she continued to resume a secretary role for the Atlantic Meat Packer Union. Linda loved being part of the Berwick & District Lions Club, being a Lion and volunteering for seven years. She held multiple roles as a Lion including working in the kitchen, looking after the facility rentals and of course secretary.
Linda loved cooking and trying new recipes. She loved to explore, walk the shore (especially Harbourville) when "going on tour".
Linda's beautiful smile and laugh, love for life and generosity will be greatly missed.
