HAIPLIK, Gloria Yvonne 62, of Kingston, NS passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Trout River, NL she was a daughter of the late Austin and Hazel (White) Crocker. Gloria was a life member of the Kingston Lions Club and a member of the Kingston District Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She volunteered with the Victorian Order of Nurses and also with the Carousel Gift Shop, Soldiers Memorial Hospital. Gloria was an avid reader and knitter. She is survived by her husband of 43 years Richard Rick; daughter Dawn-Marie (Justin) Knutson, Langley, BC; son Richard Rick (Paula), Germany; sisters Christine White, Brampton, ON; Fern (Dennis) Sandowski, Georgetown, ON and brother Hector (Mabel) White, Brampton, ON and grandson Colton, Langley BC. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers Jim, Selby and Rollie. Visitation will be held 7-9PM Wednesday, September 22, 2010 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 beginning with a Lions Service at 7:00PM conducted by the Kingston Lions Club. Funeral service will be held 11:00AM Thursday, September 23, 2010 in the Middleton Funeral Home, Rev. Leon Langille officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service in the Kingston Lions Hall.
