Gloria Theresa "Terri" Petley

With heartfelt sadness we the family of the late Gloria Theresa “Terri” (Bent) Petley are announcing her passing at her home with family present on Monday, September 28, 2026. Terri’s wishes were acknowledged and honoured with the help of the wonderful MAiD program with her battle of Alzheimer’s.

Terri is survived by her husband of 54 years, Darrell Petley; sons, Layton, Kirk and Darren; grandchildren, Jenna, Josh and Jaiden; sisters, Twila Black, Trudy Inglis; brother, Ted Bent; sisters-in-law, Darlene McNee; Pam (Lyle) Milton; many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by an infant sister, Donna Lee; brother, Tony; nephew, Nathan; niece, Kimberly (Black) Williams; brothers-in-law, Bob McNee, Tom Black and Malcolm Inglis.

Terri has donated her remains to the Human Donation Program at Dalhousie University. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Interment will be Hampton Cemetery.
