Robar, Gloria Yvonne - 1932-2023, of Middleton, passed away peacefully Monday, March 27, 2023 at the age of 90, in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Middleton, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lisa (Ostergaard) Connell. Gloria worked 25 years at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital as a receptionist and telephone operator. She was active in the Middleton United Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Society. She was a founding member of the Middleton Fireflies and was an active volunteer in the community for many years. Gloria enjoyed taking photographs and was an amateur photographer having one print published. Gloria is survived by sons, Eric (Heather Singer), Wilmot and their children, Shawn (Meaghan King), Ottawa, ON; Jessica (Andre Cormier), Fort Saskatchewan, AB; Colin (Catriona), East Linton, Scotland; and Branden (Alyssa Sheppard), Middleton; Mark, Calgary, AB and his children, Jason (Kristin Walker), Riverview, NB; and Erika (Shawn Beers), Moncton, NB; and Scott (Lee Nowlin) and his children, Matthew, Catey, and Nathan, all of Lumby, BC; five great grandchildren, Vera Gallant, Riverview, NB; Emelynn and Liam Cormier, Fort Saskatchewan, AB, and Eleanor Robar, Middleton; Callum Robar, East Linton, Scotland; sisters Ann Brown, Winnipeg, MB; Judith (Earle) Corbin, Yarmouth; brother Brian Connell (Sandra Mielke), Kitimat, BC. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Carl, sister Patricia Veinot, brother David Connell. A memorial service for both Carl and Gloria will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, May 7 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448. Rev. Dr. Danny Smith officiating.
