Obituary

MEDICRAFT, Gordon David – 88 of Middleton passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in New Albany, Annapolis County, he was a son of the late William and Vida (Veinot) Medicraft. As a young man, he worked in the woods and in 1959 Gordon went to work for Thompson's Transfer, Middleton and continued there until the age of 70. He was very proud of having achieved "the million safe mile award" from Mack Trucks. Gordon is survived by his wife the former Geraldine Notarangelo; daughter Marianne Daine, Middleton and son Michael (Deborah) Medicraft, Nictaux South; sisters Elva Bagnell and Viola Gow both of Bridgewater; grandchildren Matthew and Michelina; step-grandchildren Kathleen and Sabrina as well as six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Marcel and sisters Eileen "Lynn" and Hilda. By request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 16, 2017 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Danny Smith officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Rosa M.
