SCHARFE, Gregory Lloyd "Greg" - age 64, of Millville, Kings Co., NS went peacefully to be with his Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.  He was blessed to make the transition at home, with his wife and a dear friend by his side. Greg was the son of Lloyd George Scharfe and Betty Patricia (Guigue) Scharfe.  The son of a military family, Greg was born in England and moved to Canada when he was two.  He lived at various bases across the country, with most of his teen years spent in Greenwood and Middleton.  After a few years out west on the oil rigs, he returned to the valley. He studied auto bodywork, but being a true mechanic, he could fix most anything.  He worked for various businesses throughout the valley, even operating his own shop for a few years, finishing his career at Spurr Brothers Farm. Greg came to know the Lord in his twenties and willingly shared his faith with anyone who would listen.  A gifted musician, for the last several years he enjoyed playing guitar and singing hymns to the residents of several local nursing homes. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Anne (Stutt, Fedora) Scharfe; step-sons, Aaron Grant Fedora and Zachary Irwin (Amanda Joy) Fedora; step-grandson, Levi, and sisters, Linda Goldston; Debbie Fellows and Sandra Spencer. The family would like to thank Dr. Paul MacLean, Dr. Lori Burgess, Nurse Tara Dubuc and the VON for their care and support during his last months. Visitation will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Friday evening, August 14, 2020 at the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448 from where the funeral will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020.  Due to public gathering restrictions, a live stream of the service will be available to be viewed through the funeral home website 'Live Stream' option beginning at 9:55 a.m. ADT, August 15th. Interment will follow at North Kingston Cemetery. There will be a reception at the house, 592 Hall Road, Millville, beginning about 11:30 am Saturday.  Please feel free to come to the reception only.
