Obituary

Gregg Maurice Spicer – 72 of Berwick passed away at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville on November 17, 2023.  Gregg was forever grateful he was adopted by his father and mother, the late Maurice and Mabel Spicer.  He lived and worked in Edmonton and upon his retirement in 2017 he returned home to Berwick.  Gregg was always athletic and excelled at many sports and although he was inducted into the Berwick Sport Hall of Fame in 2022 for tennis his true love was golf.  He cared deeply for his community and family and volunteered with many organizations and sang in the St. Anthony's men's choir.  Gregg will be sadly missed by his brothers Allyn Spicer (Halie), Harlan, Iowa; W. Mark Spicer (Leslie), Berwick; foster brother, Joey Whynacht, Berwick; brother-in-law, Carman Alride, Mississauga, ON.  Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, James "Stewart" Spicer (Donna); sisters, Joy Spicer-Alride and Dale Morrow. Cremation has taken place and interment took place at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 22, in Berwick Cemetery.  In keeping with Gregg's spirit of community we ask that in lieu of flowers you make a donation to a local charity of choice or do a good deed for someone.
