It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Greg Oxner of Middleton at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Greg was a dedicated and respected employee of 34 years of Sobeys (TRA Middleton). Known for his reliability and strong work ethic, he was the recipient of many service awards and milestones. A testament to his loyalty and dedication. Greg lived a simple life, one rooted in the things that mattered most: family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, golf and was a devoted football fan. Though Greg was not outwardly demonstrative, those closest to him knew the depth of his love. Family was everything to Greg, he held a special place in his heart for each of them. Greg will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Greg is predeceased by his father, Donald Oxner; and mother, Janet Wood. Surviving family members are brother, Grant Oxner (Debra Franz), Rose Bay, NS; sister, Gidget Oxner (Mike Stennett), South Farmington, NS; nephew, Connor McAssey, Fredericton, NB; nieces, Tasha Oxner (Alex Dorliac), Shinfield, UK; Devrie Oxner (Tyler Fahlenbock), New Hamburg, ON; great nieces, Maesy and Leah, Thora and Levina. The family would like to thank Emergency and Palliative Care staff of Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton for providing outstanding care for Greg and support for his family.
