After a long and courageous seven year battle with cancer and his family at his side Gregg, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and into the arms of two of his children, Sarah Ann (Lee) and Mark Gregory. Gregg had many interests and his wife and children were the centre of his world. Among other pleasures was his love for making music as a well-known bass guitar player with several Annapolis Valley bands including Tempest, Bonded Stock, Common Ground and currently, his band of brothers of Jokers Right. He also enjoyed the sport of riding his motorcycle with his biking brothers and was a member of the Wild Card Motorcycle Club. Some of his other sporting interests included archery, squash, a good game of tennis and his daily weight-lifting routine. Left to mourn are his wife of 32 years, Peggy, son Nick of Halifax, sister Jocelyn (Steve), Beaver Bank, HRM; step-brothers Ronald (Debbie), Waterville and Wayne, Kentville, step-sister Cheryl (Hank), Kentville; brothers-in-law Lem (Patty), Winnipeg and David (Sherry), Amherst, sister-in-law Colette (Ron), Lawrencetown, HRM and mother-in-law, Mary Jackson of Greenwood. Predeceased were his mother, Pauline (Reeves) Patterson, Aylesford, father, Donald Patterson (step-mother, Marilyn), nephew, Shawn Hiltz and father-in-law, David Jackson. In line with Gregg's wishes Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Friday, August 7, 2015 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 8, 2015 with Mr. Loran Fevens officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will take place in Aylesford Union Cemetery.
