SABEAN, Hallett William age 93 of Hassett, son of the late Augustas and Gertrude (Spavold) Sabean went to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2016. Hallett was born in Hilltown on the 23 rd of September 1922. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a veteran of the Second World War, having served with the North Nova Highlanders in England and Europe, where he was wounded in Holland in early 1945. After the war, he worked as a woodsman and later as an employee on a mink ranch. Later he owned and operated his own mink ranch until 1981. He is survived by his wife, the former Harriette Mullen; son, Carl (Mary); daughter, Anne (George, deceased) Moulaison; grandchildren, Kirk (companion Karen) Moulaison and Shauna (Dominic) Young and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, the former Winnifred Jenny Mullen; sister, Bessie (Perley deceased) Gavel and brothers, Maurice and Harold and son-in-law George Moulaison. Hallett was a sincere Christian who served the Lord with his whole heart. "In his spirit was found no guile" Psalm 32 Verse 2. Visitation will be held 7:00PM - 9:00PM Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in the Havelock Wesleyan Church at Hassett, Digby County from where the funeral service will be held 2:00PM Thursday, May12, 2016 with Pastor Robert Cross of New Minas officiating assisted by Pastor Shawn Craven.
