Little, Hallette “Frank” – 86, of Greenwood, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026 at home. Born in Margaretsville, he was a son of the late Guy and Leora (Ward) Little.
Frank was enrolled in the Royal Canadian Military in an artillery unit which took him and his family to many places: including Shilo, Manitoba; Gagetown, New Brunswick; Aldershot; Shannon Park; Windsor Park, Halifax; and Germany. Frank moved into the mechanical sector and worked on the militia vehicles for many years while living in Greenwood. In 1977, they built a house in Margaretsville where they lived for 34 years, retiring from the military in 1980. In later years, Frank ran the Gulf Oil Company, drove a school bus for the vocational school and then became their janitor for another 15 years. Frank and Elaine travelled the world and visited France, Switzerland, Australia, Cold Lake, AB; Comox, BC, and enjoyed many a trip down the eastern seaboard with their family. He played guitar and sang with the Annapolis East String Band for 13 years.
Surviving is his wife, Elaine (Patterson); daughters, Sheila, Amherst; Sherry (Rob Glennie), Adelaide, Australia; son, Greg (Cindy), North Kingston; grandsons, Kyle and Tyler, both of North Kingston; brothers, Arthur (June), Nictaux; and Carroll, Kingston.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Neil (Blanche); Aubrey (Betty); John (Mary); Elwin (Nina); sister-in-law, Judy.
A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at The Lodge That Gives and the Oncology Department at VRH, especially Dr. Bell and Dr. McCarthy.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, 2026 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 1-855-825-3448. Rev. Eugene Foster officiating. For those unable to attend the service, there will be a Live Stream available to watch at 1:55 p.m. on the Middleton Funeral Home website main page. A reception will follow the service.
