Obituary

MACLEAN, Hannah Margaret - age 81of Margaretsville, NS passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 21, 2014 surrounded by her family. Born in Martock, she was a daughter of the late Hollis and Susie (Muller) Lytle. Hannah was a retired Registered Nurse having worked as a Public Health Nurse. She graduated from the Victoria General School of Nursing and later graduated from Dalhousie University with her diploma in Public Health. Hannah operated A&H MacLean Bed & Breakfast for many years, loved reading and devoted her life to raising her family. Her commitment to her husband of 53 years, her love for life, the value that she placed on family, and her firm faith in God have left a mark on many lives that will not soon fade. She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur, Margaretsville; her daughter, Margaret (Larry) Finley, Margaretsville; her sons, Peter (Ann) MacLean, Elbow, Saskatchewan; Glenn (Debbie) MacLean, Dartmouth; David (Jane) MacLean, Cambridge; her sister, Ruth Lytle, Martock; 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, M. Francis; Annie; Lily and her brother William. Visitation will be held 7:00PM-9:00PM Saturday, August 23, 2014 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. Funeral service will be held 2:00PM Sunday, August 24, 2014 in the Margaretsville United Church with Rev. Michael Mugford officiating. Private family interment will be in the Bay View Cemetery, Margaretsville. A reception for family and friends will follow in the church vestry. Donations in Hannah's memory may be made to the Margaretsville United Church.
