Obituary

Harold Raymond Outhouse ~ age 78 of Freeport, NS passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born in Tiverton, Harold was the son of Verna (Elliott) and Edgar Outhouse. He loved his family dearly and a couple of his favourite things to do were to go mackerel fishing in the summer with his daughter Melissa and hunting and fishing alongside his son Jeff. You could see the change on his face when he was on the water fishing, he loved it. He loved watching his grandchildren and great-niece, Jossy grow up into special young ladies. When Harold was younger, he played hockey, baseball, darts and pool. He was a long-time member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 92, Freeport. In his time off from the water he would go to the "Good for Nothing Club "(Gossip Shop) where he and his friends would tell stories for hours. But as soon as 4 pm came he was on his way home to watch his TV show, The Young & The Restless. The last few years, he enjoyed sitting on the deck at the campground talking with his buddy David, swapping more fishing stories.  Harold is survived by his wife, Letitia (Thimot); daughter, Melissa (Brian); son, Jeffrey (Monica); stepsons, Michael (Jessica); Brock (Mylene); sisters, Wanda (Malcolm); Laurel (Gary); brother, Edward (Elaine); grandchildren, Taylor, Lillie, Maddie and soon-to-be great-grandson, Oliver; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thank you to Heather, Madi, Brittany and Tina for your kindness and care of Harold over the last six months.  Also, to Allan and Laura in ICU at Yarmouth Regional Hospital who went above and beyond to give us answers, thank you. In keeping with Harold's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time. In memory of Harold, donations can be made to the Friends of Ferals, Digby or Heart & Stroke Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448. The online guest book may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com

To all those who think of me, be happy as I head out to sea.
