Obituary

STEEVES, Harold D. age 84, of Lawrencetown, NS and formerly of Shediac Cape, NB, passed away peacefully at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, NS on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Edwin and Iradell (Lutes) Steeves. Harold was a retired Chief Provincial Firearms Officer with the New Brunswick Department of Justice and a member of the United Church of Canada and active member and volunteer of Trinity United Church, Shediac, NB. Harold will be sadly missed by his wife, Janet Stevenson of Lawrencetown; daughter, Margaret Elizabeth Steeves of Toronto, ON; sons, Rod Steeves (Susan) of Shediac Cape and Leighton Steeves of Moncton; precious grandchildren, John and Jennifer and great grandson, Bradley. In addition to his parents, Harold was predeceased by his first wife, Joan (Baxter) Steeves (March 2008). Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 11:00 am with Rev. Leander Mills and Pastor Patty Beals officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Greenwood Cemetery, Shediac Cape, NB.
