WHITE, Harold McEwan - Age 80 of North Williamston, NS passed away suddenly on Monday, January 12, 2015 at home. Born in North Williamston, he was a son of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Anton) White. Harold was a retired custodian from Lawrencetown Consolidated School. He enjoyed woodworking, tole painting and fishing. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Joanne Robinson, North Williamston; his son, Peter (Melanie) White, Ottawa; his sister-in-law, Carol White, Oshawa, ON; his brother-in-law, Robert Desborough, Summerside, PEI; his grandchildren Cameron and Devin and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers George and Earle; sister Ardis Desborough and sister-in-law Agnes White. In keeping with Harold's wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Sunday, January 18, 2015 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Patty Beals officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. A reception for family and friends will be held following the service in the Lawrencetown United Baptist Church.
