MacDEARMID, Harvey Lewis -74 of Mosher's Corner, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Margaretsville, NS, he was a son of the late Harry and Agnes (Little) MacDearmid. Harvey was employed for 13 years at Middleton's Hardware Store. He was employed with Brown and Murphy Services for many years and later dedicated his time to Bruce Auto Group. Harvey loved country music, animals, fishing and travelling, especially by car. He loved his family and especially loved all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, the former Sharyn Starritt; daughters, Susan (David) Naugler, Calgary, AB; Donna (Brad) Reid, Middleton; sons, Steve MacDearmid (Darlene Mullen), Fort Saskatchewan, AB; Scott MacDearmid, St. John's, NFLD; 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; sisters, Viola McLeod, Kingston, NS; Phyllis (Reg) Crouse, Victoria Vale, NS; brothers, Calvin (Velma) MacDearmid, Victoria Vale, NS; Len (Gayle) MacDearmid, Mississauga, ON; Murray MacDearmid, Victoria Vale and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters,Yvonne, Helen and Mary. At Harvey's request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00PM, Wednesday, April 18, 2012 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square.
