It is with broken hearts that the daughters and family of Heather Rose Winnifred Best, of Tremont, Nova Scotia, announce her sudden passing on September 7, 2026, at the age of 64.

Those who knew Heather will remember her as a devoted mother and Christian, a loving friend, animal lover, and incredibly talented musician. Music was a special part of Heather’s life. She loved writing songs, playing her guitar, and sharing her music with others, but it was her beautiful voice that will be especially cherished and remembered.

Heather had a deep love for the ocean and found joy in painting, drawing, gardening, and journaling. Tulips held a special place in her heart. She enjoyed the simple indulgences in life—writing, creating, “belly laughs”, spending time with those she loved, and always, of course, a good cup of tea with her “fur baby Kaylee”

Heather was blessed with many close and dear friends who cared so much for her, supported her, and provided her with wonderful companionship throughout her life. Her family will always be grateful for the kindness, love, and friendship they showed Heather. She will be remembered by all who loved her as a kind-hearted and strong-spirited woman with a fierce will, a creative soul, and a heart that loved deep and whole heartedly.

Heather is survived by her daughters, Dayla (Sandy), Shianna (Matthew), and Samara; her many cherished grandchildren; her father, Don (Deanna); her brothers, Rick (Ellen), Danny (Marie), and Donny (Sherry); her very special aunt Lee; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones.

She was predeceased by her beloved son, Brody Best; her mother, Rosamond Snider; her biological father, Ken Best; her sister, Holly; her sister-in-law, Tammy; her nephew, Curtis; and her grandparents.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00p.m on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in Tremont Cemetery. A reception will follow in the New Beginnings Centre, Greenwood, Nova Scotia.
