CONNELL, Helen Agnes ~ age 88, of Bridgetown passed away peacefully Sunday, July 14, 2019 in the Annapolis Community Health Centre, Annapolis Royal. Born in Tupperville, NS she was a daughter of the late Charles and Elsie (Holliday) Whitman. Helen enjoyed gardening and four wheeling and working outdoors, mowing grass and shoveling snow. She loved cats and enjoyed living a simple life. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Barry) Robicheau, Kingston; sisters, Mary Inglis, Lillian Jodrey and Margaret Whitman; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by her husband, Ivan Connell; brothers, Henry, Robert and Charles; and nephew, Keith Inglis. Thank you to Dr. Paul MacLean, EHS, the doctors, nurses and staff in the Emergency Department of Soldiers' Memorial Hospital and the doctors, nurses and staff at Annapolis Community Health Centre for all their compassion and care. In keeping with Helen's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Thursday, July 18, 2019 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448.
