Prest, Helen Patricia "Pat" ~ 75, of Margaretsville, formerly of Belleville, Ont., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones January 18, 2019 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.  Born July 5, 1943 in Toronto, Ont., Pat was the daughter of the late Rev. Roy H. and Helen G. (Clarke) Rickard. She was a loving wife and a devoted mother and grandmother to 17 grandchildren. She is survived by her children Jamie (David McCully) Prest, Upper Rawdon; Corey (Cara) Prest, Margaretsville; step-children Virginia Prest, Halifax; Jeffery Prest, Mooseland; Jed Prest, La Ronge, Sask.; Julie Prest, Kentville; grandchildren Sophie, Abigail, and Jace Prest, step-grandchildren Drew and Sidney McCully; brother Roy Alastair (Patricia Mary (Lloyd)) Rickard, Elmira, Ont. and their son Roy Andrew Jeffery Rickard, Newmarket, Ont. Pat was known to enjoy a competitive game of Trivial Pursuit and a glass of red wine. She devoted time to political blogging as well as delighting friends and family with her amazing cooking. Pat was very passionate about music and was truly the number one Elvis fan.  After travelling and living in Europe, she came to Nova Scotia and married Glenn Leslie Prest Jr. and spent the remainder of her life raising her family in Margaretsville enjoying happy days by the ocean. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Glenn. A graveside service where Pat will be laid to rest will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 3:00pm in the Bayview Cemetery, Margaretsville, Rev. Canon Lynn Uzans officiating.
