Obituary

VAUTOUR, Helen "Marie" of Kingston, NS passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Yarmouth, she was the only daughter of the late Victor and Marion (Teed) Ross. Marie was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1954 to 1958. She was a member of the Ex-Air Women Association, the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch N0. 98 Kingston and a volunteer with the Wing and the Legion. Marie enjoyed cooking for various organizations. She was an avid reader and Bingo player. Marie devoted her life to her husband and family. She is survived by daughters, Catherine (Allan) Hearn, Bedford, NS; Michelle Ansems, Kingston; Colette Cochrane (James McKenna), Hunter River, PEI and Patti (Keith) Cadwell, Bedford, NS; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by the wonderful woman who helped raise her, her Aunt Gerry Brittain of Yarmouth, N.S. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Rod and brother, Bill Ross. Cremation has taken place. A Royal Canadian Legion Tribute will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 98 Kingston. Donations in memory may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia or Kingston Legion Poppy Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448.
