He was well-known around Middleton and for many years enjoyed an afternoon coffee at the House of Cheng or the Big Scoop. In retirement he loved making bird houses and feeders, which he shared far and wide, and working in the yard of his home.
His daughters extend deepest gratitude to Senior Home Care by Angels, and especially Charlie Doucet, for their kindness, caring, compassion and support during the last years of Herb's life. They also extend gratitude and praise to the EHS paramedics who helped him on several occasions, and especially the nurses and doctors at the Valley Regional Hospital and Soldiers Memorial Hospital for all they did for him during the difficult final week of his life.
