Mailman, Herman Lee – Age 84 of Nictaux Falls, Annapolis Co., passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Friday, July 28, 2023, at home. Born in Springfield, Herman was a son of the late Charles and Audrey (Zinck) Mailman.

Herman retired after 26 years with Annapolis Regional Vocational School in 1994.  In earlier years he worked for Burma Propane and Russell Smith. He volunteered as a driver for Annapolis County Alternative Society. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, and all those fishing trips to Coberrie over the years. He always enjoyed his Timmies visits with the guys.

Herman is survived by sisters, Marie (Wayne) Sheridan, Nictaux South, Donna (Paul) Uhlman, Middleton; brother, James Mailman, Coldbrook; nephews, Chad Uhlman (Tina) and Christopher Mailman; nieces, Trish (Jeff) Sheridan-Sherman and Tanya-nee Mailman.; great nieces, Jadyn Phinney, Mallory and Jillian Sherman; Aunt, Ida Zinck ,Lake Pleasant ; many cousins especially David Pearle ,Truro and Moreen Grant , Springfield.. Besides his parents, Herman was predeceased by his wife, Deanna (Crocker); brother, Cecil Mailman; nephew, Jason Sheridan; sister, Rosalie in infancy.

The family would like to thank all those who helped to keep him in his home these last few years, Patti Watt Hung, Mike McLaren, Angela Hathaway, Don Wamboldt, Ward Thompson and a thank you to all Medical staff over the years. Thanks to Donnie Parker for the daily calls and a special thanks to Bobby Balcom for being ..Just the Best!

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 11:00 am in Nictaux Cemetery.  Rev. Jeff Milne officiating.
