Herman "Dick" Robicheau ~ age 92 of Margaretsville, NS passed away surrounded by his family on September 3rd, 2023 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.

Dick started his career on the sea traveling from the Bay of Fundy to the Caribbean.  During this time, he met his wife of 68 years, Marie, while he was docked in Margaretsville. They raised five children together and he began his career in carpentry. Carpentry was not just his career but his passion, he created works of art for his children and grandchildren. He passed down this passion, knowledge and work ethic to his children and grandchildren.

Dick was a trusted and valued member of the Margaretsville community, being known as the local handyman to year-round and seasonal residents.

Dick was well known for his sense of humor and quick wit. He used this gift to make everyone feel special and that you had his undivided attention, from the gals at the bank to the coffee shop.

Dick is survived by his wife Marie Robicheau, children Mary Turetzek, Charlie Robicheau, Walter Robicheau, David (Paula) Robicheau, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and sister Mary Esther Good. Predeceased by his daughter Nancy Leroy, son in law George Turetzek, son in law George Leroy and siblings Reg Robicheau, Louie Robicheau, Edward Robicheau, Walter Robicheau, Theresa Reid and Beverly Robicheau.

Funeral service to held at Margaretsville Baptist Church, Saturday September 9th, 2023 at 2:00pm officiated by Rev. Martin Zwicker. Reception to follow. Interment will be in Bay View Cemetery, Margaretsville. Donations in memory can be made to Margaretsville Fire Department.
