Peck, Hope Joyce – Age 83 of Bear River, Digby Co., passed away peacefully Sunday, July 24, 2022, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born, March 23, 1939, to Kenneth and Mary (Brittain) Burrell, Hope enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. Nothing gave her greater pleasure than to have everyone together for a big meal on holidays or for any reason at all. She lived a quiet & happy life just being with her husband and children. Hope didn't work outside the home, with seven children, we always made sure she had enough to keep her busy and after we all left home, there were grandkids to look after and in the last couple of years, she "doggy-sat the boys" Cooper, Tucker, and Benny. Mom was our rock, sounding board and the glue that held us together after dad passed and for her, we will strive to stay together. She is with dad now and her broken heart is healed as ours will in time. He was her music, and she was his rose. Hope is survived by sons, Reginald (Connie Wheelhouse-Robinson), Andrew (Elaine), Timothy (Leah Martin), Todd (Sarah Sabean); daughters, Christine (Don Smith) Morgan, Jennifer (Troy) Jones; grandchildren, Joseph, Ross, Rebecca, Issac, Lilian, Grace, Kory, Logan, Shelby & Layla; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Ken and Gary. Besides her parents, Hope was predeceased by her loving husband of over 42 yrs., Vincent; son, Martin; sister, Frances; brother, Ross. Cremation has taken place. There will be a private celebration of Hope's life at a later date.
