PARKS, Hugh Elmer "Tidley" ~ age 86 of Torbrook Mines, NS passed away unexpectedly at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville surrounded by his family. Born in Aylesford, he was a son of the late Elmer and Lurleene (Mcgarvie) Parks. Hugh was a self-employed truck driver for many years. He was an associate member of the 107 Valley Wing and enjoyed his apple pie and ice cream. Hugh will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his sons, Hugh Jr. (Lorelei), Slave Lake, AB and Daren (Lisa), Greenwood; sisters, Marie (Bill) Nixon, Nictaux; Freda Bell, Kingston; Barb (Jim) Annis, Bloomington; Joan (Graham) Bell, Mosher's Corner; Donna (Greg) Hatt, Torbrook; Carolyn Parks (Mike Pineo), Auburn; brother, Terry (Susan) Parks, Nictaux; granddaughters Alicia, Taylor and Logan; two great grandchildren and will also be missed by many nieces and nephews as well as Debbi Sawler (Larry), Nictaux and Steve Sawler, Middleton. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Patricia Richter. In keeping with Hugh's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Thursday, December 16, 2021 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448 with Rev. Deacon Don Boudreau officiating. Private family interment will be held in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Kingston. Due to current pandemic restrictions, it is now required to show Proof of Vaccination for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies.
