Ida May Ryerson, 78, Auburn, Kings Co. passed away peacefully in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown with her loving family beside her on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Born in Aylesford on August 11, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Helen (Murphy) Foster. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edward Leroy Ryerson, and her sister Bertha. Ida and Edward made their home in Auburn for most of her life. After her husband’s passing, she lived with her daughter Cindy prior to residing at Mountain Lea Lodge where she spent the rest of her life. Ida always relied on her daughter Cindy who made sure she made it to all of her appointments and took special care of her prior to her placement in Mountain Lea Lodge. Ida always called her daughter Cindy “her special little angel.” She worked as a baker at Avery’s in Greenwood and Kingston as well as with Betty Hebb’s bakery in Millville. Ida enjoyed baking, cooking, camping, and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and family. One of her greatest enjoyments was listening to country music, especially while camping at music festivals that she and her husband would attend. She loved playing bingo and going to ticket auctions with her sisters. A special thanks to her sister Pauline for all the special times that they spent together. Ida had a deep love for all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Michael) Gerrior, Kingston; sons, Doug Ryerson (Emily Parsons) Auburn, Kevin (Tracy) Ryerson, Kingston; grandchildren, Chris, Matthew, Tyler, Meaghan, Ashley, Emma, Georgia, Grace, Mariah, as well as a great-grandchildren, Addison, Hayleigh, Arianna, Landon, Chloe, and Colt; sisters, Pauline (the late Kenneth) Ryerson, Sharon Foster (Lewis Millet), Barbara (the late Harold) Williams, Brenda (John) Keddy, Susan (John) Graves, and brother, Philip Foster.
