BURBIDGE, Isobel Laura Louise - 82 of Middleton, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Louise (Thomas) Owen. Isobel was involved with numerous youth organizations as well as Nictaux Hospital Auxiliary; Holy Trinity Anglican Church Women, Choir, Altar Guild; Rosemary Chapter I.O.D.E. and Honorary member of New Minas Lioness. She is survived by daughters, Judith (John) Pitkin, Mississauga, ON; Christine Burbidge-Boyd, Lacombe, AB; Maryann Burbidge, Halifax; sons, Gerald Robert (Elizabeth) Burbidge, Canaan, Kings Co. NS; Larry William (Diane) Burbidge, New Minas; grandchildren, Jennifer and Joanne Pitkin; Darcy Boyd; Paul, Andrea, Heather and Mitchell Burbidge and several nieces and nephews. Isobel was predeceased by husband Harry, sister, Mary, brother, George and son-in-law, Stephen Boyd. Visitation will be held 6:30 to 9:00PM, Thursday, September 26, 2013 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448. The funeral service will be held 2:00PM, Friday, September 27, 2013 in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 45 Main Street, Middleton with Rev. Matthew Sponagle officiating. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery. By request, family flowers only.
