It is with great sorrow that the family of Iva Louise Guier announce her passing at the age of 79 on July 16th, 2023. After a brief illness, she passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. Born in Tiddville, on July 31, 1943, Iva was the daughter of the late James and Amelia "Minnie" (Burns) Tidd. Iva grew up in Tiddville but later moved to Central Grove, Long Island where she married the love of her life. Married 63 years, Iva and Orland Clarence Guier raised three beautiful children: Darlene (Victor), Eldred (April), and Bruce (Debbie). She also cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, Trevor (Katie), Justin (Maria), Jeremy (Ashley), Alicia (Marc), Jared, Terrilynn (Pat), William (Evelyn), Nick, and Matthew (Shanda); granddaughter in-law, Tiffany (Chris); several great grandchildren.

Over the years, Iva worked at Small Brothers, L.J. Robicheau, and Canada Post. She was also a longtime member of Sunrise Rebecca Lodge, Tiverton Fire Department Ladies Auxillary and a member of the Tiverton Baptist Church. Iva's passion was cooking, baking, and making sure everyone was well fed. None of the grandchildren left without a bag of cookies or a pie. Her passion was her family whom she deeply loved and admired. She was always willing to lend a helping hand no matter what it was.

Iva is survived by her loving husband, Orland; her three children; several grandchildren; brothers Chet (Joan), Junior (Claudia), and Alan (Wanda). She was predeceased by her sisters Violet and Mary; brothers Leonard, Herbert in infancy; grandson Jolan in infancy. Donations may be made in Iva's memory to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Red Cross. Visitation will be held 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Thursday, July 20 and funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Friday, July 21, 2023 all in Tiverton Baptist Church, Mr. Lou Outhouse officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Tiverton. A reception will follow at the family's home. Arrangements entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 1-855-825-3448.
